Pesticide and Chemigation Training

It’s that time of year!  Pull that pesticide or chemigation license card out of your wallet or other safe keeping location.  Look at the expiration date on it to see if it is your turn to renew your license.  It just might be your lucky year of renewal!  If so, try making one of the training dates listed or call your local extension service for a booklet.

I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

You are welcome to stop in, or call, and visit with me about your 2005 needs.  Top Hat has a full line of seed, fertilizer, and chemical.  We can help you generate more ideas on how to be more efficient in your fertility program.

In the  past, we have produced a bushel of corn on 0.8 to 0.9 lbs of N.  Top Hat wants help you accomplish this too. We can develop, and help you implement, a solid starter program.

Also, I would like to invite you in for our year end booking Days:  December 20th thru January 7th.  We can take care of all your needs.

Thank you for your past business and I look forward to working with you in 2005.

Happy Holidays,

ATTENTION:

BULK TANK & SHUTTLE OWNERS

All owners of bulk containers must give written assurance that the container has been rinsed or cleaned to our satisfaction prior to refilling.

To guarantee customer safety, Top Hat will ask you to sign a form verifying that you have cleaned the containers to be filled.

This only applies to containers that are not owned or provided by Top Hat.

Lately, all the farm magazines have been talking about soybean rust and its’ effect on production.  I don’t feel that soybean rust is a problem for this area.  However, the supply of fungicide could be a concern as soybean rust progresses.  We should prepare ourselves for the impact of a possible shortage of fungicide this spring.

As of now, fungicides are being held by major manufacturers from shipping to distributors. This is to ensure proper placing of the materials in season.  In other words, fungicide will be distributed to areas most affected by soybean rust for preventative measures.  My main concern is our white wheat needs this spring.  For that reason, I have already ordered some material for 2005.

Top Hat would like to visit with you, our valued customer, about fungicide needs so we can better fill your fungicide requests in the upcoming season.  I am not trying to push, but a little preplanning will provide some assurance for your wheat this spring.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
